I've got some big moves in the pipeline on the blogging tip, will fill you all in as soon as I can. For now, it's going to be business as usual.

For those in the New York area this Friday, Santos is hosting a listening party for Mos Def's upcoming album The Ecstatic. After hearing the snippets, I'm excited to hear the final product and might make the trip for this one.

A lotta good stuff dropped the past couple, so I'll put y'all up on something real quick.

I've never really been a big fan of the Black Eyed Peas, but I can't hate on their new single "Boom Boom Pow." Call it a guilty pleasure, but I'm diggin this electro-hop for certain situations. Mainly, toe up on a Friday night at about 1:45 at the bar.

I still can't stand Fergie though, never have and never will, she need to quit. ASAP.

Tying Up Loose Ends

I got some time this morning to lay down some quality music and videos, so heeere we go..

KANYE WEST "Welcome To Heartbreak" Directed by Nabil from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.

Up first is a vid for "Welcome to Heartbreak" a.k.a. the best song off 808's and HeartBreak. I know that's not saying much. But director Nabil, the mind behind the fly animated "Champion" vid, did his thing with the colors and transitions on this one for Kanye and CuDi.

B.o.B - "Generation Lost"

The second is another vid, this time for B.o.B's "Generation Lost," one of the dopest tracks from the ATLien signed to T.I.'s Grand Hustle. I presume this is off his debut LP The Adventures of B.o.B. but we'll know for sure when we get the track list. Check it out, it's a pretty simple video. It doesn't matter, the music is powerful enough.

Also finished up Padded Room, and wow. I don't wanna give a rating or anything yet but I'm thoroughly impressed.

Of course, I spotted some newness during my frequent Google Reader browsing. At least I got some good new music to vibe out to tonight during whatever I get into.

We've got some heavy hitting hip-hop for your end-of-the-work-week celebrations this evening. First, a new joint from Jay Electronica called "Swagger Jackson's Revenge" produced by 14 K.T. off his upcoming Scratches & Demo Tape Volume 1. For those that are unfamiliar, he always spits some heady shit that is too real to pass up - I'm REALLY feelin' this one, peep game:

Next up is some new heat from Rapper Big Pooh. "The Comeback" is neck-snapping rawness produced by Khrysis off Pooh's upcoming Delightful Bars. I've always thought Phonte had the slight edge on Pooh during their Little Brother years mostly 'cause of his voice and delivery, but Pooh certainly makes his case on this joint:

Finally, we've got a great conceptual effort from Termanology. Entitled "Circulate (100 Bars)," Term shows off his verbal dexterity over a crazy J Dilla instrumental:

Word. This is a taste of Term's upcoming tape If Heaven Were A Mile Away (A Tribute to J Dilla) dropping on New Years Day. Termanology over all J Dilla beats? Sounds like a perfect way to ring in the New Year.

The Lox's Remix Will Blow Ya Mind & Termanology Comments on the Industry..

Styles gathered the Lox squad together for a remix to his THC-friendly single and the boys from Yonkers prove they are still some of the toughest rappers out. While SP and 'Kiss come correct, it's evident that Sheek has regressed rather than improved throughout his career. There's only so many rhymes one can spit about "sippin' yak" and that other repetitive nonsense... smh.
