Can I Kick It? Nike SB Holiday Edition

I know it's only March, but Nike SB wanted to give sneaker heads a taste of what's to come later in the year. They've announced their full line-up for Fall clothes, accessories, etc early as a motha, perhaps to entice consumers to save up a little for holiday shopping. It's a recession, we gotta budget, people!

Like usual, I'm especially excited for the Dunks so I've posted close-up pics of the new releases. If I had to choose, I'd go for the Low Obsidian/Charcoal. Put those on my early Christmas list. What about you?

March Madness

Though I do enjoy me some NCAA basketball, this isn't the type of March Madness you're thinking of. This one, you have a say in and it probably won't lose you any money in the process. Unless you and your sneaker-head buddies bet on this sorta thing.

Nike SB has set up a tournament to find its Dunk Fan Favorite of 2009. This year, it's up to the people to choose between 128 colorways to crown one Dunk the champ. I've got my money on either the De La Soul Highs (#13, Orange Bracket, Left Side), the Purple Pigeons (#28, Silver Bracket, Left Side), the Bic Highs (#25, Black Bracket, Right Side), or the Blue Avengers (#7, Pink Bracket, Left Side).

Can I Kick It?

Scooped me a fresh pair of Vandals yesterday, and I'm already fiend out for my next pair of kicks. I could get my fix from any of these various new releases from Nike - Air Force 1 White on Ice, Dunk Low Pro "Goofy Boy," Dunk Mid Pro, and Blazer "Ocean Pacifics."

Those White on Ice AF1's are somethin else with that transparent blue sole, I need to find me a pair ASAP. I'm so salty that Kix-Files sold out of size 12, damn!

Sweet Coraline

I heard about this animated flick Coraline a lil' while ago. The trailer was kinda nuts and its directed by Henry Sellick, the man behind Nightmare Before Christmas, so I was intrigued but I didn't predict I'd see it in the theaters.

Until I read that Nike designed a special Dunk for the film that would be available for free-99 after the movie. Apparently, the film's credits contain a special code that you enter online to try to get your hands on 1 of the 1000 limited edition pairs.

Looks like I might have to spring to take a P.Y.T. out when the movie drops on February 6th. Peep the trailer here, it's got that Alice-in-Wonderland surreal feel.

Good looks to Sneaker Files on the heads up. You know I could always use me a new pair of sneaks.

Can I Kick It?.. Blazer Edition

Though I'm a huuuge fan of Dunks, AF1's and Vandals, my girl Shenda advised me not to sleep on Blazers. So here I am, wide awoke.

This new colorway for the Nike SB Blazers is really, really fly. I love the lighter blue body and royal blue swoosh complimented with the maroon interior and tongue and crisp white laces.

These sneaks should be dropping relatively soon to SB retailers, sometime in February according to Sneaker Files. So if anyone spots a pair, definitely let me know!

My co-worker just told me I have to go to rehab for my addiction to fresh sneaks. Could you imagine..

Me: "Hi, my name is Dom, and I'm an addicted.. to Nikes.."

Crowd: "Hiiiiii Dom!"

Continuing in my obsession, I peeped these freshies at Sneaker Files. Dropping in April, these Nike Dunk High Premium LE 08's sport a woven metallic-reflective surface on the panels and a gray-white color scheme. And for $108, they are right within my price range, especially after my recent inflation pay raise!

I'll be checking Nike Sportswear and the Flight Club NYC frequently until I find me a pair. Which reminds me, I need to take a trip to the city to grab these kicks I've had my eyes on for a while. Or maybe these. And why not these, too.
