iPod Classics: Randomization

Since my month-old iPod is corrupt and deleted all my songs, I created this iPod playlist on iTunes. Here's my strategy - Rock with the random feature on iTunes and add the good ish that comes up. Then, I'll be able to stock my new iPod with some heat.

So, here we have a brand new sub-segment at HFTB where I hit my faithful readership with some random gems from my collection. We'll start with Rick Ross' new jam "Maybach Music Part II" and let iTunes decide the rest..

Got some good stuff for y'all this morning, I woke up to some great new tracks and a quality article guaranteed to spark some discussion.

I'm working so I can't write much right now, but definitely check out the 10 Greatest Hip-Hop Battles (.. And Their Winners) by my favorite resident hip-hopper over at About.com, Mr. Adoso. He gives concise run-downs of rap's most historical beefs, ranging from Kool Moe Dee and Busy Bee's early rap battle to the Coastal feud between Biggie and Pac to the epic beef between Nas & Jay-Z.

He even goes out on a limb to give the winners, which is quite ballsy to say the least. I agree with most, the only glaring difference in our opinion is he's got Pac defeating Biggie. But that's a debate for another day..

Let's get hump day (I always laugh at that term, Ha!) started right with new tracks from Method Man & Redman featuring UGK, Q-Tip featuring Kanye & Consequence, and an acoustic remix of Yeezy's "Amazing" by Mike Maven.

Big's time on Earth was so short, but he still left a decent amount of material for us, his loyal fans. He was featured on Puff Daddy's No Way Out and left countless hot verses on a capella for producers and DJ's alike to flip every which way. Though other rappers have hopped on Big's posthumous records that used unreleased and recycled verses like Born Again, Duets: The Final Chapter, Biggie Hendrix, Blue Eyes Meets Bed Stuy, Night of the Living Dead, etc., none has quite come close to outshining Frank White.

Another Notorious Tease

Can't wait for the 16th, I been marked my BlackBerry calender for the opening of Notorious and it's steadily approaching.
