Doin' A Buck Down Memory Lane..

When I was back to the future, Star Trek
Exit memory lane now where can I park at?

.. Why can't Wayne always be this serious? Weezy F gets into the beat from the underrated Mary J Blige joint "I Love You," freestyling his lean-sippin' ass off about a love lost (LOL!) and other random streams-of-consciousness.

Much thanks again to the good people at TSS, Enjoy!

Edit: My bad, didn't realize this is just a sample from Mary J's joint with Keyshia Cole on the hook, I knew those drums sounded different!

Lil' Wayne - Freestyle (I Love You)

Get, get it ------>

Now I Look Forward to Every Day..

[akon & clef]

Welcome to my sunny day
My sunny day, everyday

Better day, welcome to my sunny day

Been a long day, on my way

To my holy place to pray

Give thanks for every blessing given to me

I know there's more to see, more too me

No more living in misery

Is this how I visioned life to be?

.. I don't care what any critics say, Akon is fine by me. Yeah, his tracks are played out as fuck especially on New York radio. Yeah, he sounds dumb similar on every song. I told y'all, I do not care - I think Akon is cool and enjoy an occasional dose of his R&B riddims.

With that said, this new track with Wyclef comes at a perfect time in my life and I'm lovin' it, aight? I don't usually delve into my personal life, but I'm dealing with some ish right now and this song got me feelin' better about it - haters, slow ya roll.

Thanks to The TSS Crew at The Smoking Section (your Loosie section is quite on-point), Enjoy!

My Favorite Time..

.. has got to be 5 o'clock on Friday!

This week flew by, whew. T.I. shut down Hammerstein Ballroom on Wednesday night with special guests Slim from 112 and Jamie Foxx. Then, I took a much-needed day off yesterday to get some shopping done and watch my alma mater's football team guarantee their 4th consecutive bowl bid, tearing Louisville a new one 63-14.

Enough chatter, let's get to the music - I've got a plethora of new songs that will help you set the weekend off properly. Well, it's about that time - I've got to finish up some stuff for next week then it's the WEEKEND. Check the ChatBox to the right for the download links, thanks to Rizoh, KSY-Music, TSS, and Eskay for the Friday-friendly tracks, Enjoy!

.. We rest one eye up
And a drought can define a man, when the well dries up
You learn the worth of water, without work you thirst 'til you die, yup

-"December 4"

For my 200th post, I wanted to wish big homie Shawn Carter a Happy Birthday. Here's to many more, Peace!

I pray I'm forgiven, for every bad decision I made

Every sister I played, cause I'm still paranoid to this day
And it's nobody fault, I made the decisions I've made
This is the life I chose, or rather the life that chose me
If you can't respect that, your whole perspective is wack
Maybe you'll love me when I fade to black

Keep Getting Your Paper..

And keep on climbing
Look in the mirror
And keep on shining

..Tonight it's going down in NYC, as Power 105.1 presents T.I. at the Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center Studios in Midtown. I'm super amped to see Clifford in concert and wonder if any special guest will show up - Rihanna? Luda? Jigga? I'll find out for sure after the doors open at 7.

I believe the show is sold out but check the Ticketmaster link above for availability. I know one of the females I'm going with will be snapping some photos so hopefully I'll up them within the next couple days.

Shouts to Power 105 for organizing the show, Peace y'all!

Flyer Than The Rest Of 'Em..

.. Still got my Nike boots

Loved this song since my first listen way back, damn, I think it came out in the summer.

Finallym Wale puts out a video for his heater "Nike Boots," the track that put him on the map for underground hip-hoppers and hipsters alike. The beat is ultra tough and the Washington, D.C. verbalist shows why he's one of my Top 5 up-and-coming lyricists. If you've been hating or sleeping on the homie Wale for whatever reason, you need to stop this second - he's the truth.

Big props to Heather for the vid, Enjoy!
