..Progressing in a recession?Being from
Jersey, I'll give any
Budden an honest listen - and usually, I enjoy his unconventional flow and introspective perspective.
Jumpoff Joey's got versatility and solid lyrics but sometimes gets too emotional to the point where I feel bad for dude. I like some of his catalog - definitely not all - and I take pride that I'm not on his D like some of these other internet personas.
Being a critical blogger, I gave an objective listen to
Halfway House, the digital prequel to his upcoming LP
Padded Room. To be honest, it's pretty dope - has its ups with crazy surprises but downs with no real direction. Most importantly, it did what it's supposed to - keeps me interested to hear what he produces next while leaving room for improvement.
I suggest checking it yourself to formulate an opinion. Here's the track-list plus links to the best it has to offer.. Enjoy!
