My Favorite Song

You see, I remember when a we used to sit
In a government yard in Trenchtown,
Observing the hypocrites as they would
Mingle with the good people we meet

Good friends we have
Oh, good friends we've lost
Along the way
In this great future, you can't forget your past
So dry your tears, I say

No, woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry

You see, I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown,
And then Georgie would make the fire light
As it was, logwood burnin' through the night

Then we would cook cornmeal porridge
And I mean it, of which I'll share with you
My feet is my only carriage
So I've got to push on through
but while I'm gone,

Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right, yah
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right, yah
Everything's gonna be all right

  2. This song used to make me think. Between this and Tupacs keep your head up i was glad that some males actually care about women, without all of that negativity and bullshit.

This is definitely one of my favorite, probably MY FAVORITE marley song EVER!
